Trick or treating set for Tuesday

Downtowns across the North Olympic Peninsula will be full of children in Halloween consumes on Tuesday afternoon.

Other activities also are planned, both this weekend and on Tuesday.

Port Townsend

• Halloween Port Townsend Main Street’s 27th annual Port Townsend Downtown Trick or Treat and Costume Parade is planned Tuesday.

Children preschool through sixth grade in costume will assemble at 1st Security Bank Plaza at Adams and Water streets at 3:45 p.m. for the event coordinated by the Port Townsend Main Street Program’s Promotion Committee.

Main Street witches will lead the parade, which will start at 4 p.m. The parade will go down Water Street to Polk Street.

Trick or Treat will immediately follow the parade at participating businesses throughout the downtown area — Water Street, Washington Street and in between.

The event is sponsored by the Port Townsend Main Street Program, The Old Whiskey Mill and participating merchants.

Water Street and some side streets from Madison to Polk streets will be closed to traffic from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

About 1,500 to 2,000 people typically attend this event, Main Street said.

Sequim

• Sequim Merchants’ Trick or Treat will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday on Washington Street.

Dozens of businesses will offer candy stops outside, inside or on their doorstep. Organizers with the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber Commerce encourage participants to visit the agency’s social media pages for updates.

Other businesses also will offer trick-or-treating at other hours.

Port Angeles

• Downtown Trick or Treat in Port Angeles will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Businesses will give out candy to costumed children in the Port Angeles Waterfront District.

Forks

• Forks Businesses Trick of Treat is planned from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Some 40 Forks businesses will give out candy to children in costume. Some will provide candy all day during business hours.

Other Halloween activities on Tuesday are:

• Quileute Tribe Halloween Carnival is planned from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Akalat Center in LaPush. Entry is free.

At the same time will be a Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of the Akalat Center. A cash prize will be presented to the car deemed best decorated.

• Rain of Terror Haunted Hangar is open from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Admission is $15 per person at the Quillayute Airport at 5144 Quillayute Road in Forks.

• Forks Community Hospital Long Term Care will offer trick or treating from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Enter through the long-term care entrance on Fifth Avenue.

• Trick or Treat Trail is set at Extreme Sports Park (ESP), 2917 W. Edgewood Drive in Port Angeles, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Halloween Day for children in costume. More than 25 booths from local businesses are expected.

• Old Alcohol Plant Halloween Extravaganza will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Old Alcohol Plant Inn, 310 Hadlock Bay Road in Port Hadlock. Admission is $20 for a Trunk or Treat, DJ Robotix, a costume contest and live music featuring Kung Fu Vampire.

• Spooky Improv is planned at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the KSQM 91.5 FM broadcasting offices at 609 W. Washington St., and on Zoom.

This event is free and open to the public, both online and in person. Join online at skwimtm.org.

• Trick or Treat at Sherwood Assisted Living will welcome families to 550 W. Hendrickson Road in Sequim from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

• Avamere Olympic Rehabilitation Trunk or Treat will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot at 1000 S. Fifth St. in Sequim.

• Adagio Bean & Leaf at 981 E. Washington St. will host candy giveaways, food and a petting zoo from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the field by the coffee shop.

• Drive Thru Trick-or-Treat will be hosted by the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

• First Baptist Church harvest festival will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at 1323 Sequim-Dungeness Way.

• Thrive Church Trunk-or-Treat will be in the parking lot at 640 N. Sequim Ave. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

• Sequim Valley Foursquare Church Harvest Festival will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at 9090 Old Olympic Highway.

• Faith Lutheran harvest fest will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church at 354 W. Cedar St.

• King’s Way Bash is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at 1023 Kitchen-Dick Road. Games, food, candy and rides are offered. Kid-friendly costumes only.

• Spooktacular Halloween Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza will host a bat cave and other activities at 500 W. Hendrickson Road from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

• Eastern Hills Community Church plans a Trunk or Treat outside the church at 91 Savannah Lane from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Hay rides, candy and hot dogs are planned.

• Scaredy Cats Howl-o-ween Haunted House is set from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kitty City, 91 S. Boyce Road, Sequim. Admission is $10 per person, $5 if 16 or younger; free for 5 and younger.
