PREP TENNIS ROUNDUP: Roughriders sweep North Mason; Sequim falls in close contest with North Kitsap

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles boys tennis continued its winning ways with a 7-0 sweep of North Mason on Wednesday.

The Riders used their experience and depth to get an early lead and ran their record to 5-1 on the season. Coach Brian Gundersen singled out Kam Noard and Ty Bradow as the players of the match.

“Kam and Ty were really on top of their game and it showed today,” Gundersen said.

Port Angeles hosts Chimacum (0-5) on Monday.

No. 2: Seth Woods-Landon Seibel (PA) def. Beegee-Kantner, (NM), 6-1, 6-1.

No. 3: Kam Noard-Ty Bradow (PA) def. Horton-Nathanson (NM), 6-0, 6-1.

No. 4: Tanner Price-Henry Shaw (PA) def. Supry-Kessler (NM) 6-0, 6-0.

North Kitsap 4, Sequim 3

SEQUIM — The Wolves won all three singles matches. The Vikings won all four doubles contests and the match on Wednesday in Sequim.

Connor Bear rallied in his No. 3 singles match for the Wolves, losing the first set before rallying for a tiebreaker win in the third set.

Sequim (3-3) visits North Mason on Tuesday.
