PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles feasted on 41 North Mason turnovers in a 59-15 Olympic League girls basketball win at home on Thursday.

“The high number of turnovers by North Mason gave us nearly twice as many field-goal attempts as the Bulldogs had,” coach Michael Poindexter said. “Our zone defensive effort and execution was the best we’ve had this year.”

Paige Mason was a spark for Port Angeles, nearly piling up a triple-double.

“Paige Mason had her best game yet as a Roughrider with her 12 points, 9 steals, and 8 rebounds (six on the offensive end),” Poindexter said. “Lexie Smith also had an outstanding effort with 7 rebounds and 7 steals, as did Anna Petty with a solid overall game and good court leadership.”

Petty led the team with 13 points and added six rebounds, five assists and four steals.
