Singer-songwriter to perform during Candlelight Concert

PORT TOWNSEND — Brian Ledford will present “Sunlight and Shadows” during a Candlelight Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The series, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Taylor St. in Port Townsend, also will be simulcast on KPTZ FM 91.9 and stream at www.trinityumcpt.org.

The concert is free, although a donation of $15 per person is requested.

Half of the proceeds will go to the Jefferson County Immigration Rights Advocates, whose mission is to advocate for and educate people about the immigrant community in Jefferson County.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Masks are encouraged for in-person attendees.

Ledford, a local singer and songwriter, was born and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth before settling in Port Townsend in 2015.

His music is influenced by such artists as the Texas-based Flatlanders as well as the Clash.

Ledford’s debut album, “Truth & Love,” was released in 2009 and followed by 2011’s “From Sunlight Into Shadow.”

He is currently working on a new album with his first band, the Lubbock-based Stilettos, as well as some solo singles.

Ledford also will perform between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday at Chester Square, 1029 Lawrence St., as part of the Local Lineup at the Port Townsend Soundcheck festival.
