Registration open for Peninsula College’s zombie run

PORT ANGELES — Registration is open for the Pirate Zombie Mud Run on May 17 at Peninsula College.

The family-friendly obstacle course is open to teams of four to eight people.

“This was one of the most popular events on campus before the pandemic,” said Rick Ross, student government advisor. “It’s not just a run — it’s a hilarious, muddy, unforgettable way to bond with friends, coworkers or your family. In my 30 years at PC, this one stands out as pure fun.”

The 2-mile-long course weaves across the campus and through the woods featuring inflatable slides, a foam cannon, a muddy crawl pit, water blasters and zombies trying to steal contestants’ flag belts.

Participant who make it to the finish line with their flag will be awarded a survivor’s medal. Those who get infected can swing by the first aid tent for a zombie antidote to reclaim their humanity.

“We’re beyond excited to bring this tradition back to life,” said Jason Peters, student body vice president. “We’re turning our peaceful campus and surrounding woods into a post-apocalyptic playground. You bring the energy — we’ll bring the zombies, mud and chaos. Come ready to survive.”

Admission is $30 per person, $10 for Peninsula College students and youths 17 or younger, and $60 for a family of four until April 30. On May 1, prices will increase to $40 per person, $15 for students and $75 for the family package.
