PORT LUDLOW — Leila Block will present “Touching Your Craft, Touching Your World” at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Block will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the Port Ludlow Art League at the Beach Club, 121 Marina View Drive, Port Ludlow.
Block’s presentation and guided demonstration will explore some of the thought-provoking considerations that artists face, such as how to spend their time and their offerings to the world?
“Creative paths are never-ending roads of mastery,” Block said. “We don’t need to wait to be masters in our skillsets to hone our intentions of what we want our practices to be for ourselves, our lives and the world.”
Guests are welcome to attend for a $5 fee.
Block is a multidisciplinary artist who works in mixed media, oil, acrylic, watercolor, clay, video and music.
Block commonly explores the themes of health, hope, happiness, harmony and humor.
Block’s short film, “Clean Bill of Health,” was selected for the 2024 Port Townsend Film Festival, and her mixed media, painting and ceramic artwork has been exhibited in group shows at the Aurora Loop Gallery, Jeanette Best Gallery and Grover Gallery.
Block, currently an Artist in Residence at Centrum, is preparing for a solo exhibition at the Aurora Loop Gallery in October.
