SEQUIM — Writers on the Spit has announced an entire evening of open mic readings beginning at 6:15 tonight during the Fourth Friday readings.
All are invited to the free event at The Lodge, 660 Evergreen Farm Way — off Fifth Avenue — in Sequim.
The monthly audience has grown to the point that organizers are starting 15 minutes earlier than usual to accommodate more readers. Readings will now begin at 6:15. Those who want to participate should arrive early to sign up.
The 5-minute open-mic readings showcase diverse writing talent — poetry, short-short stories and memoir excerpts. Writers’ names are drawn randomly for reading position. Five-minute readings are timed, so participants are urged to rehearse in advance.
