North Olympic Library System book discussion groups ready to begin

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will continue its book discussion groups online throughout May.

Participants must register at nols.org to receive the link to the free Zoom meetings.

• The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday to discuss “The Other Americans” by Laila Lalami.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group will discuss “The Memory Police” by Yoko Ogawa in June.

• The Second Tuesday Book Discussion Group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday to discuss “So You Want to Talk About Race” by Ijeoma Oluo.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

In June, the group will discuss “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles.

• The Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group is set to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, to talk about “The Great Alone” by Kristin Hannah.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group plans to discuss “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett in June.

• The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, to discuss “The Sympathizer” by Viet Thanh Nguyen.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

Their June selection is “The Nickel Boys” by Colson Whitehead.
