Olympic Eye Care closing Dec. 31

PORT ANGELES — Tom McCurdy has announced that after 43 years in business, Olympic Eye Care, 504 E. Eighth St., will close Dec. 31.

McCurdy, along with staff members Marlene McCurdy, Lucile Lee and Jenny Rhymer, are all planning to retire.

According to a press release, the clinic will transfer its records to the practice of Andrew Symonds.

Symonds has recently joined his father, George Symonds, at Peninsula Contact Lens, 1122 E. Front St.
