Forks basketball fun run/walk

FORKS — The Forks High School boys basketball team will hold a 5K run and 2.5K walk Saturday, June 20.

The course begins and finishes at the Forks High School gymnasium at 9 a.m. Sign-ups begin at 8 a.m. and there is a course overview at 8:45 a.m.

The run and walk are open to everyone.

The top men and women finishers will receiver Forks Spartans basketball T-shirts.

The shirts also will be sold for $10.

Olympic Junior Babe Ruth

PORT ANGELES — There will be an Olympic Junior Babe Ruth board meeting Sunday at Volunteer Field.

The meeting is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.

Learn to row day

PORT ANGELES — Organized by U.S. Rowing, National Learn to Row Day is a chance to discover what the sport offers at no charge.

Learn to Row Day is this Saturday at Hollywood Beach from 8 am. to 11 a.m.

Coaches will provide all ages with introductory fundamentals of the stroke and basic drills.

Coed flag football

PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Peninsula YMCA is teaming up with the NFL to offer coed flag football leagues for children ages 5-11.

The season will run Aug. 17 though Oct. 17. Games will be played at Stevens Middle School.

Registration began earlier this week.

The YMCA is seeking volunteer coaches for the league.
