PORT ANGELES — In-person registration for Port Angeles Wrestling Club’s winter season will be held at the club’s new location on the second floor at 112 Lincoln St. from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday.

The club is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade with practices held twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Wrestlers ages 5 through 8 and first-year 9-year-olds will practice from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with second-year 9-year-olds and 10-and-older from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Registration is $100 per wrestler and includes a club T-shirt and a USA Wrestling membership card.

The season runs from Nov. 6 through Feb. 15 and includes optional weekend tournaments.

An advanced/competitive group also will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays. The cost is $150.

Discounts are available for families with three or more participants and scholarships also are available.

Gift auction for UK trip

SEQUIM — Sequim Junior Soccer is raising funds in support of a Premier League-focused spring break tour of England with an online auction of gift baskets.

Players on the Sequim Junior Soccer Elite B08 and G09 teams will visit Liverpool, Manchester, London and other United Kingdom destinations.

They plan to visit England’s National Football Museum, multiple Premier League stadiums as well as other museums and historical landmarks.

The group will watch several professional soccer matches, play against English youth teams and train throughout the trip.

Gear swap Nov. 4

PORT ANGELES — The annual Outdoor Gear Swap, a fundraiser for Hurricane Ridge Ski & Snowboard Area, will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Vern Burton Center, 308 E. Fourth St.

The event allows the public to buy, sell and trade used outdoor gear of all types: board, ski, surf, paddle, hike, bike and more.

Gear drop-off will be available Nov. 1-3 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. day of sale.

Unsold gear will be picked up at 3 p.m. Nov. 4.

Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family.

SEQUIM — Cedars at Dungeness Women’s Golf Association recently honored its end of year award winners.

• Low monthly medal gross: Lisa Chon, 77. Carded the same day she sunk a hole-in-one.

• Low monthly medal net: Anne Elwell, 68.

• Most Improved: Yoon Park.

• Most Birdies: Lisa Chon, 8. Two each on holes No. 2, 4 and 6. Four on No. 8.

• Most Chip-ins: Lisa Chon, 2 (8, 10); Linda Hash 2 (14); Lynette Sheriff two (4, 15); Ann Rosecrants two, (14, 16).

• Hole-in-ones: Lisa Chon on No. 8 and Anne Elwell on No. 4.

• Ringer gross: Marine Hirschfeld, 65.

• Ringer net: Ann Rosencrants, 49.

The group also played its next-to-last Tuesday competition earlier this week, a game of 3 Clubs in which participants choose three clubs to play their entire round.

Bev Handshumaker’s 77 edged Bobbie Piety by one stroke for the win.

Piety earned the closest-to-the-pin award, hitting her shot within 16 feet on No. 9.

Piety also had the low putt total of 31, ahead of Hirschfeld’s 33.
