FORKS — Braden Decker rushed for a touchdown, threw for a score and hauled in a touchdown pass to lead Forks to a 39-0 blowout of Rainier (0-4, 0-6).
The victory is the first for the Spartans (1-2, 3-3) in SWL-Evergreen Division play.
The Spartans put the Mountaineers away quickly, scoring 19 points in the first quarter and 13 in the second to set up a 32-0 halftime lead.
Sophomore running back Dimitri Sampson started the rout with a 51-yard run to the end zone.
Decker, Forks’ starting quarterback, soon followed with his first score of the day, a 17-yard run.
Sergio Chase closed out the scoring with a run from a yard out.
In the second quarter, Decker hooked up with James Salazar for a 30-yard scoring strike, and Mitch Leppell added a 4-yard touchdown run.
The Spartans’ final score came in the fourth quarter when Decker completed his touchdown trifecta by hauling in a 33-yard pass from backup quarterback Mark Jacobsen.
Sampson paced the running attack with 93 yards on nine carries.
With the win, the Spartans remain undefeated at home.
They again play at home Friday when Rochester (1-3, 1-5), which lost to Montesano 44-7, comes to town.

AUBURN — Rangers quarterback Jacob Pleines ran for one touchdown and passed for another in his first appearance of the season.
Pleines, who was sidelined by illness and suspension, had 144 rushing and 113 passing yards.
The victory over Muckleshoot Tribal (0-2, 0-5) gives Quilcene (2-0, 3-3) a three-game winning streak, which evens their record after starting the 2012 campaign 0-3.
Eddie Perez ran for 132 yards and two scores, including a 66-yard run in the third quarter, and Josh King added 69 yards on the ground.
J.J. Smith led the Rangers in receiving with 92 yards and three receptions.
Quilcene will look to continue its roll against winless Highland Christian (0-1, 0-5) in Arlington on Friday.

NEAH BAY — The Red Devils had 43 points before the Hawks (0-2, 3-2) reached the scoreboard for the first time.
Josiah Greene returned the opening kickoff 84 yards to begin the barrage that saw Neah Bay score 35 points in the opening quarter.
Leyton Doherty and Tyler McCaulley added touchdown runs, from 3 and 32 yards, respectively.
Then, the Red Devils (2-0, 6-0) defense joined in, with McCaulley and Elija Winck returing interceptions for scores.
Michael McGee ran a score in from 10 yards out before Tulalip’s D.J. Kidd scored on 50- and 87-yard runs to end Neah Bay’s shutout bid.
The defending state champion Red Devils got rolling again in the third quarter.
Zeke Greene ran 63 yards for a score and after Kidd’s third touchdown of the game, Cole Svec and Josiah Greene both added touchdown runs of their own.
Svec topped the Neah Bay ground attack, running for 132 yards on nine carries.
Next up for the Red Devils (AP No. 2) is a road trip to Lopez to face the Lobos on Saturday afternoon.

PORT TOWNSEND — The Cowboys couldn’t keep up with the Cruisers’ Zach Fairhart and Bradon Atkins.
Fairhart began the scoring with a 35-yard touchdown run and passed for two touchdowns, and Atkins ran for 155 yards and three scores.
Chimacum (1-1, 2-4) finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard pass from Alex Morris to Travis Pennington.
Mel Thornton had 87 yards rushing for the Cowboys. Derek Ajax added 58 yards on the ground and intercepted a pass on defense.
Chimacum hosts undefeated Charles Wright (AP No. 9) on Friday night at Memorial Field.

BREMERTON — The Knights once again showed why they stand atop the Olympic League while the Roughriders remained winless on the season.
Port Angeles’ Matt Robbins returned a kick 90 yards for a touchdown, but by that point Bremerton (4-0, 5-1) already led the game 34-7.
The Knights remained undefeated in league play by dominating both sides of the ball.
The offense scored touchdowns on seven if its first eight possessions, and the defense held the Riders to 85 yards of total offense.
Matt Noll represented the special teams well with a 69-yard punt return touchdown.
By managing only seven points, Port Angeles (0-4, 0-6) has now been held to eight points or less in five of its six games this season.
The Riders play at North Kitsap on Friday. The Vikings (3-1, 3-3) are coming off a 48-18 win over North Mason.
