Port Angeles Community Players to conduct auditions

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Community Players will conduct auditions for its fall production of “Almost Maine” at 6:30 p.m. July 18 and at 2 p.m. July 20.

The auditions will be conducted on the main stage at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

The play, co-directed by Barb Frederick and Ken Winters, will run on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 27 through Oct. 13.

Frederick and Winters are casting for nine male roles and 10 female roles, although the casting is flexible and the play can be staged with as few as two males and two females.

Auditions will consist of reading small sections of the script, which will be provided at the playhouse.

Perusal copies of the script are available at the Sequim and Port Angeles public libraries for those who want to familiarize themselves with the story and characters.

A cast read-through is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. July 27, with rehearsals starting the following week.

Rehearsals will generally be on weeknights starting at 6:30 p.m.

For more information, email Winters at kenpacp@gmail.com.
