Free Fiddle Tunes today at Fort Worden

Tickets available for Saturday concert

PORT TOWNSEND — The Free Fridays at the Fort series continues today on the Commons lawn at Fort Worden State Park, 200 Battery Way.

The noon concert is an hour-long Festival of American Fiddle Tunes showcase, wrapping up a week of workshops with musicians from around the world. Admission is free and listeners are welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnics.

Then comes the Fiddle Tunes Finale on Saturday afternoon at Fort Worden’s largest venue, the McCurdy Pavilion, with Fiddlin’ Earl White and friends, the Genticorum band from Quebec, Canada; the Danish-Swedish-Norwegian trio Fru Skagerrak and Joseph Decosimo and Travis Stuart from North Carolina.

Show time is 1:30 p.m. and tickets range from $16 to $32 via 800-746-1982 and Centrum.org.
