Were you among the lucky ducks? Winners announced in Sunday’s 26th annual Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby

PORT ANGELES — The winner of the 26th annual Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby wasn’t on hand Sunday for the race, but more than 300 others showed up to cheer on the little rubber ducks.

Robbie McNamara of Bremerton became the grand prize winner when one of his five ducks finished the race first, and he will receive his choice of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck or a Toyota Corolla sedan, donated by Wilder Toyota.

McNamara was not immediately reached by telephone by race organizers Sunday afternoon.

Irwin Dental, winner of the $500 grand prize for the Bub and Alice Olsen Very Important Duck Race, donated winnings back to the Olympic Medical Center Foundation, said Bruce Skinner, foundation executive director.

Jennifer Fisher of Sequim took second place in the Very Important Duck Race for a $250 prize, and Steven Collins of Sequim won third for $100.
