WEEKEND: Test-drives Sunday to raise money for Port Angeles High School choirs

PORT ANGELES — Price Ford of Port Angeles is offering test-drives to raise money for Port Angeles High School choirs during a special event from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.

During Drive One 4 UR School, members of the public can stop by Walmart at 3471 E. Kolonels Way for free test-drives of new Fords or Lincolns.

For each test-drive, Price Ford will donate $20 to the high school.

The fundraiser has been known to earn upwards of $6,000 for Port Angeles High.

There is a limit of one test-drive per address.

All drivers must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. Car seats cannot be accommodated.

There will be no pressure to buy a vehicle.

The process takes about 10 minutes and includes a quick registration, followed by a four- to five-minute drive in a new Ford or Lincoln vehicle.

Price Ford Lincoln, at 3311 E. U.S. Highway 101, has organized the fundraiser for Port Angeles High during the past five years, raising more than $30,000 for various extracurricular programs, Joel Elliott, sales manager, has said.

Ford Motor Co.’s Drive One 4 UR School program began in 2007 and since then has sponsored 1,500 events in 49 states.

For more information, phone Elliott at Price Ford at 360-457-3333.

For additional assistance, contact Jolene Dalton Gailey at 360-565-1535 or jgailey@portangelesschools.org.
