PORT ANGELES — “NAMI Rocks!,” a concert for all ages, will bring together classic rock ’n’ roll from the 1960s through the ’90s, rhythms of Africa and even some gospel and pop at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., this Saturday night.
The event, a fundraiser for the Clallam County chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, features the Black Rock band; Zaya Marimba; folk-rock-gospel singer-songwriter Michael Rivers and inspirational vocalist Jen Haugland.
Admission to the 6 p.m. event is $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and younger.
The theme of NAMI Rocks! is “You Are Not Alone,” which aligns with the organization’s all-volunteer efforts to support people who are dealing with mental illness.
