PORT ANGELES — Storytelling, singing and bagpiping will fill up the Port Angeles Community Playhouse tonight in the annual Celtic Concert hosted by the Story People of Clallam County.
Pat Peterson, the wry host of the Forest Storytelling Festival every fall, will serve as mistress of ceremonies for the event, to start at 7 p.m. at the playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Admission is $10 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Story People’s community programs.
At the Celtic Concert, storytellers Ingrid Nixon, Allison Cox and James the Obscure will entertain with tales of blarney, magic and heroes.
Refreshments will flow, too, along with music from singer-guitarists Michael Rivers and Dan Cobb and bagpiper Tom McCurdy, all of Port Angeles.
This is the first time the event will be held at the playhouse, and “we are excited and happy about that,” said Richard Seaman, a spokesman for the Story People.
