SEQUIM — Sequim Arts invites the public to an opening reception for its annual Members Art Show & Sale from 6 p.m. until 7:30 Wednesday evening.
Admission is free to the reception and to the show, which continues Thursday through Sunday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church parish hall, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
Sequim Arts is a nonprofit group devoted to promoting the visual arts across the North Olympic Peninsula.
“This show is a chance for our artists of all skill levels, from beginner to professional, to show the community who we are,” Sequim Arts spokeswoman Janie Brackney said.
Many of the pieces will be for sale during the show, which will be open, free of charge, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Along with the show is a silent auction of items such as a two-night stay at the Polynesian Resort in Ocean Shores; spa and massage gift certificates.
Proceeds from the show and auction will help fund Sequim Arts projects, which range from community art workshops, a Students’ Exhibit and scholarships for local high school seniors planning to pursue art in college.
