Native plants part of foundation’s gardener meeting

CHIMACUM — The Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation meeting, potluck and lecture will be held at the Chimacum Grange, 9572 Rhody Drive, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

“Favorite Plants from Kul Kah Han Native Plant Garden” will be the subject of the educational lecture series.

Linda Landkammer, creator and landscape designer of the native garden, will present a 30-minute slideshow of some of the more interesting and volunteer-favorite plants at the Kul Kah Han Garden, followed by a 30-minute tour of the garden.

The garden was originally designed to represent several ecosystems or plant communities of the Pacific Northwest.

Attendees for the potluck dinner are asked to bring a dish to share with the group and their own plate, utensils and beverages.

The Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation lectures are free and open to the public.

A foundation business meeting accompanies each lecture.

Visit www.jcmgf.org for future lecture topics, times and vacation months.
