PORT ANGELES — The Feiro Marine Life Center is seeking nominations for the Marine Science Student of the Year.
The award will honor a Clallam County student who has made significant contributions to area marine ecosystems.
Nominations will be accepted through Jan. 20.
To be considered for the Feiro Marine Science Student of the Year Award, nominations must be sent from an organization such as a business, Scout troop or school.
The nomination should include a short description of how the student has engaged in promotion, education, research and/or stewardship of the marine environment, and the outcomes of their efforts.
Nominations will be reviewed by a committee, and the winner will be honored at the Fish on the Fence gala in February.
