The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on the proposed acquisition of a donated piece of property on Lake Crescent on Tuesday.
The hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Commissioners will hold their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Agenda items for that meeting include:
â– Contract amendments with the state Department of Social and Health Services extending the date from Sept. 29 to next July 31, modifying a statement of work and adding funding.
â– A resolution appointing a member to the park and recreation advisory board.
Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday for their weekly work session.
Port Angeles city
Port Angeles City Council members will consider approving a $226,500 grant for a Civic Field lighting replacement project when they gather Tuesday.
The meeting is at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
It will be preceded by a 5 p.m. executive session to discuss labor negotiations, after which no action is expected.
The 6 p.m. meeting will include consideration of a $10,000 donation from Security Services Northwest to purchase a police dog to replace K-9 Jag, who died May 20 after being diagnosed with inoperable cancer.
Council members also will consider a Lodging Tax Advisory Committee proposal for the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce to run the Visitor Center under a three-year contract extension.
They will consider choosing questions that will be answered at an Oct. 22 forum by committees of proponents and opponents of city water fluoridation in preparation for a Nov. 6 advisory survey of water users.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will conduct a public hearing on proposed electric, water and wastewater budgets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the Port Angeles main office, 2431 E. U.S. Highway 101.
Other agenda items include a resolution establishing compensation for the general manager, contract completion with DJ’s Electrical, a task order and the removal of delinquent accounts.
County Planning ÂCommission
The Clallam County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the county’s six-year transportation improvement program Wednesday.
The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse.
A second hearing will be held on an application for a rezone and comprehensive plan amendment for two parcels totaling about 40 acres off Old Blyn Highway.
The land, presently zoned rural low, would be changed to parks and recreation to accommodate the construction of an 18-hole disc golf course.
Olympic Medical ÂCenter
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will consider endorsing the proposed Sequim School District construction bond measure in a special meeting Tuesday.
Commissioners will hold a public hearing early in the meeting, which will start at 12:30 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Sequim Medical Services Building, 840 N. Fifth Ave.
Voters will decide the $49.3 million bond measure question in the Nov. 3 general election.
Also planned is a Sequim community forum on hospital issues conducted by Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis.
Commissioners plan an executive session to discuss performance of a public employee.
Other agenda items include employee recognition, public input on and updates to OMC’s 2015-17 strategic plan, consideration of buying exam tables for Olympic Medical Physicians clinics, authorization to advertise for bids for a CAT scan installation, storage and servers for a picture imaging and communications system, and purchase of a Pyxis automated medication system.
Sequim School Board
The Sequim School Board will discuss procedure for a board meeting and relations between the board and superintendent when it meets Monday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the boardroom at 503 N. Sequim Ave.
The board also will consider policy on meeting conduct and hear reports on transportation, a possible budget extension resolution in November and an update on online resources for information on a proposed $49.3 million bond measure.
