The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss a proposal to hire a consultant to develop a framework for an annual roadside weed management plan Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Nearly 100 citizens packed a May 19 public hearing on a proposal to allow herbicides as one method to control noxious weeds and other non-native, invasive plants on the county’s 500-mile road system.
The hearing on the “Integrated Roadside Weed Management” ordinance was continued to allow the board to discuss the voluminous public testimony in a work session.
Other discussion items for Monday’s work session include a proposed ordinance creating a new chapter in county code for recreational marijuana.
No action is expected on the pot ordinance Monday. Commissioners will hold a public hearing before approving an ordinance to regulate the growing, processing and sale of legalized recreational marijuana.
Commissioners will hold their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Agenda items include:
■ An agreement with the Quillayute Valley Park and Recreation District releasing the district of about $205,700 in remaining debt to the Opportunity Fund.
■ Recognition of Dr. Peter Erickson for his 12 years of service to the county as the jail physician.
■ An agreement with K&H Printers for services related to the 2015 primary election.
■ An agreement with the city of Port Angeles for a shared storage facility.
■ An agreement with the state Department of Social and Health Services for WorkFirst program screening.
■ A contract amendment with Peninsula Behavioral Health reallocating funding for behavioral health services for juveniles.
■ An agreement with Olympic Personal Growth Center for substance abuse treatment services to unfunded adult clients.
■ Agreements with Peninsula Behavioral Health for mental health, psychiatric and case management services to unfunded clients and for services to juveniles involved in the justice system.
■ Agreements with West End Outreach Services for behavioral health services to low-income clients and for services to juveniles involved in the justice system.
■ A contract amendment with the state Recreation and Conservation Office increasing funding to cover additional administrative costs for the Spruce Railroad Trail project.
Peninsula College
Peninsula College trustees will consider the operating budget for 2015-16 when they meet Thursday.
The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in the Cornaby Center on the Port Angeles campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council is scheduled to meet in the town’s new Civic Center for the first time Monday.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the center at 152 W. Cedar St.

Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will review comments on a draft law concerning the operation of wheeled all-terrain vehicles within city limits when they meet Monday.
The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council also will discuss the annual report to the state Auditor’s Office.
Clallam Conservation District
The Clallam Conservation District will consider an interlocal agreement with the Agnew Irrigation District for aquifer recharge projects Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. at Armory Square, Suite H, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Board members also will discuss cooperator and cost-share agreements and a summer intern.
Utility committee
Members of the city Port Angeles Utility Advisory Committee, which includes three City Council members, will receive an update on the Morse Creek hydroelectric project Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 3 p.m. in the Jack Pittis Conference Room at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
They also will receive a verbal report on Morse Creek emergency water rights and an update on the residential exchange program.
Quillayute Valley schools
The Quillayute Valley School District will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the media center at Forks High School, 261 S. Spartan Ave.
