PORT ANGELES — Clallam County commissioners are seeking 31 volunteers to fill vacancies on 13 advisory board and committees.
The deadline to apply is the close of business April 3.

Current members with expiring terms who wish to retain their position are asked to provide a written statement by mail, facsimile at 360-417-2493 or email to tholden@co.clallam.wa.us.
Descriptions of the various advisory boards and committees are available on the county website under “Boards, Committees and Groups.”
Vacancies exist on the following boards, with specific categories noted where applicable:
■ Animal issues advisory committee — Five openings for a representative of District 3 (west county), tribal government, veterinarian, at-large and Friends of Forks Animals.
■ Board of Equalization — One opening for a representative of District 1 (east county).
■ Building Code Board of Appeals — Two openings for an architect and an alternate who must be a general contractor, certified fire marshal, fire inspector or fire plan examiner.
■ Carlsborg Community Advisory County — One opening for a resident of a manufactured or mobile home park within the Carlsborg urban growth area.
■ Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee — Three openings.
■ Homelessness Task Force — Five openings for representatives of the law and justice system, faith community, business community, at-large and an advocate for youth issues.
■ Lodging Tax Advisory Committee — One opening for a collector of the tax.
■ Noxious Weed Control Board — One opening for a representative of the western coastal area including Forks, Beaver, LaPush, Bogachiel and Sappho.
■ Opportunity Fund Board — Two openings for representatives from commissioner Districts 2 and 3.
■ Park and Recreation Advisory Board — Two openings.
■ Peninsula Housing Authority — Two openings.
■ Permit Advisory Board — One opening for a representative of the building trades.
■ Sheriff’s Citizens Advisory Committee — Five openings for representatives from unincorporated areas, the Quileute tribe, Makah tribe and Lower Elwha Klallam tribe.
