BUSINESS BRIEFS: Port Angeles building supply store fetes 55th year this week . . . and other items

PORT ANGELES — Hartnagel Building Supply, 3111 E. U.S. Highway 101, is celebrating 55 years in business this Wednesday.

The public is invited to visit between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Hartnagel employees and owners will serve root beer floats made with Port Angeles’ Bedford’s Root Beer and Port Townsend’s Elevated Ice Cream.

Children will receive a balloon and are invited to build their own toolbox to take home with them while supplies last.

There is no charge for the refreshments or children’s do-it-yourself toolboxes.

Business opens

PORT ANGELES — Northwest Customs, a window tinting and auto repair business, has opened at 175 S. Bayview Ave., Suite 31.

Max Aria is the owner and Jason Verand is the manager.

Verand has 19 years of window-tinting experience.

Course completed

SEQUIM — Shelley Stratton, owner of Bodhi Tree Yoga, has completed a cancer exercise specialist program through the Cancer Institute of America at Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale.

This program is part of Stratton’s continuing education in helping patients who are going through cancer treatment.

Stratton is a registered nurse, registered yoga teacher, cancer exercise specialist and has certification from the American College of Sports Medicine.

An introduction to her classes and what they involve for patients in cancer treatment will take place at SunLand Yoga Studio, 271 Blakely Blvd., at the end of this month.
