BUSINESS BRIEFS: 2015 Best of Port Angeles Award goes to roofing business . . . and other items

PORT ANGELES — Emerald Roofing Inc. has been selected for the 2015 Best of Port Angeles Award in the roofing contractors category by the Port Angeles Award Program.

Each year, the program identifies companies it believes have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.

Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the program and data provided by third parties.

Recognition is given to companies that have shown the ability to use best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.

KONP talk guests

PORT ANGELES — Here is this week’s schedule for the 1:05 p.m. to 2 p.m. local talk show segment on KONP radio, at 1450 AM, 101.7 FM and www.konp.com on the Internet outside the Port Angeles area.

Station General Manager Todd Ortloff hosts the Monday through Thursday segments.

This week’s scheduled lineup:

■ Monday: Clallam County Prosecutor Mark Nichols discusses the recent crime watch meeting, provides an update on the municipal court consolidation process and discusses the varying approaches that are being taken by prosecutors and courts in relation to legal financial obligations.

■ Tuesday: To be announced.

■ Wednesday: To be announced.

■ Thursday: Clallam County Public Utility District.
