New Age musicians to perform at benefit concert

Scott Cossu Duo takes stage for Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic

PORT ANGELES — The Scott Cossu Duo will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday in a benefit concert for Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic, formerly known as Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics.

The concert, which will feature cellist Holly Reeves, will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave. Admission will be by donation.

Scott is an internationally known composer, pianist and recording artist. In 2016, he received a Zone Music Reporter Best Piano with Instrumentation nomination for his album “Safe in Your Arms.”

Scott will release a new recording in January, “Memories of Water and Light,” with piano, guitar and cello instrumentation.

Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic (OPCC) is a free medical, behavioral health and dental clinic in Port Angeles serving primarily low-income, homeless and Medicaid patients in Clallam and Jefferson counties through a staff of volunteers. OPCC also provides “gap” coverage for anyone who is having trouble finding a doctor or dentist.

It was renamed in January after having been known for about 14 years as Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics (VIMO).

The concert is presented by Physicians Insurance and the Port Angeles Noon Rotary Club with a variety of sponsors including Olympic Medical Center.
