PORT ANGELES — A dodgeball tournament will be held Nov. 9 to support programs of the YMCA of Port Angeles branch.
The single-elimination Dodge for a Cause tournament will begin at 9 a.m. at Stevens Middle School, 1139 W. 14th St., Port Angeles.
Teams of six players will compete until a winner is crowned at about 3 p.m. The cost to enter the tournament is $100 per team.
Players must be 16 or older.
“There will be fun games, concessions and prizes awarded to the best costume theme, best team name and to the winners of the tournament,” YMCA officials said in an event announcement.
Dodgeball is played by throwing balls at members of the opposing team while avoiding being hit. The objective is to eliminate all members of the opposing team by hitting them with thrown balls or catching a ball thrown by an opponent.
Dodge for a Cause registrations are being accepted through Nov. 8.

The YMCA of Port Angeles offers programs that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
