Teachers rewarded with use of donated leased vehicle
PORT ANGELES — Four Lincoln High School teachers — Hillary Allen, Coco Carlson, Tyler Jones and Everett Young — were chosen by Port Angeles School District administrators as Teachers of the Year and will share the use of a leased car during the 2015-16 school year.
Ed Schmid was also chosen as a Teacher of the Year but will be taking a leave of absence next year so won’t be participating in the lease-car program.
“Ruddell Auto Mall generously offered the lease for this new teacher recognition program,” said Schools Superintendent Marc Jackson. “We’re very grateful to Howie Ruddell and his team for making this happen.”
Jackson said he hopes to continue the program next year and honor additional teachers from Port Angeles schools.
