Ballots for Nov. 4 general election mailed out today in Clallam, Jefferson counties

Ballots for the all-mail Nov. 4 general election will be mailed to registered voters in Clallam and Jefferson counties today.

Clallam County ballots will be mailed to 46,325 registered voters, county Auditor Patty Rosand said.

Jefferson County ballots will be mailed from the Printery in Port Townsend. The county Auditor’s Office said that 22,258 will be mailed.

Overseas and military voters were mailed or emailed ballots Sept. 19.

Ballots must be postmarked for the all-mail primary by Nov. 4.

Ballots also can be hand-delivered by 8 p.m. that day.

In Clallam County, they can be taken to:

■   Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. Drop boxes are outside the office off Fourth Street and in the Auditor’s Office inside the courthouse.

■   Sequim Village Shopping Center, 609 W. Washington St., near the city’s utility payment drop box in the J.C. Penney Co. parking lot.

■   Forks District Court, 502 E. Division St.

In Jefferson County, ballots can be taken to:

■   Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend. Drop boxes are available behind the courthouse and inside the courthouse in the Auditor’s Office.

â–  Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave., Port Hadlock.

Anyone who has not received a ballot by next Tuesday should phone or stop by the county Auditor’s Office.

The Clallam County phone number is 360-417-2221. The Jefferson County phone number is 360-385-9116.

Those not currently registered to vote in Washington state can register at their county Auditor Office until Oct. 27.

Voters who forgot to change their addresses can contact the auditor’s office in the last county in which they were registered to receive a ballot, or go to www.myvote.wa.gov.

After Friday, complimentary copies will be available at the PDN’s Port Angeles and Sequim offices during business hours and online at www.peninsuladailynews.com.

The secretary of state will mail information on state and federal candidates on Friday.
