Edible weeds topic of lecture

PORT ANGELES — Cathy Lucero, Clallam County Noxious Weed Control coordinator, will talk about edible versus inedible weeds at noon Thursday.

“Weedy Gastronomy — What to Eat, What to Avoid” will be presented in the county commissioners’ meeting room, Room 160, at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.

The hour-long presentation is free and open to the public.

Lucero will provide tools for identifying and distinguishing between edible and inedible weeds, tips for collecting and preparing a dozen edible weeds, and pros and cons of incorporating them into our diets.
