SEQUIM — Elks Lodge #2642 has announced the winners of its 2025-26 Americanism Essay contest.

The winners are eighth-grader Lexie Lind, seventh-grader Isaac Malkasian, sixth-grader Soren Albright and fifth-graders Adam Halgrimson, Gunner Giddings and Avery Resser.

Each student submitted an essay on the topic of “What Does Service to Your Country Mean to You?”

All six essays have been forwarded to the Elks’ Western District for competition at that level.
