CHIMACUM — The Jefferson County Genealogical Society will present professional genealogist Jill Morelli at its annual seminar Saturday.
Morelli will speak on three topics at the seminar, which will begin at 9:30 a.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m., and extend into early afternoon at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum.

Early registration has ended. Registration at the door will be $35 and will be accepted as space permits.
Session 1 will concern the “push” and “pull” of emigration decision-making in 19th-century Europe and will deal with why people make radical changes of residence.
Session 2 will be about how health care changed during the Civil War.
Session 3 will be tips on conducting a house history.
An architect by vocation, Morelli talks about resources available to research one’s own house or the houses of one’s ancestors.
The Heritage Quest Research Library will be on hand for browsing and shopping.
Morelli, director of facilities at the University of Washington School of Medicine, is a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and the Association for Professional Genealogists.
