Blessing of animals
PORT HADLOCK — The Ministerial Association of East Jefferson County will host a countywide “Blessing of the Animals” celebration during the 13th annual Jefferson County Farm Tour.
The blessing will take place at Sunfield Farm, 111 Sunfield Lane, off Rhody Drive, at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Participants are encouraged to bring food bank donations of both pet and human food.
Bring household pets (excluding livestock) on leashes or in appropriate carriers.

‘Come As You Are’
PORT ANGELES — Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, introduces Bridget Laflin for the 10:30 a.m. talk Sunday on the topic “Come As You Are.”
Laflin is a first-year seminary student at Seattle University with plans to become a Unitarian Universalist minister.
A time for silent meditation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for those who care to participate.
Child care is always available.
Fellowship time follows the worship service.
Everyone is welcome to attend all church activities.
Unity in Olympics
PORT ANGELES — Unity in the Olympics, 2917 E. Myrtle St., will hold a 10:30 a.m. service Sunday featuring the Rev. Sherry Schultz, whose lesson will be “New Self/New Day.”
She holds a certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains and has been a hospice chaplain for over 12 years.
Child care is available during the service.
A brief time for silent meditation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
The church also will feed young people at TAFY (The Answer for Youth) on Saturday.
Food donations are needed at the church by 3:40 p.m. that day.

Funds raised
PORT ANGELES — A recent spaghetti feed at Park View Villas raised nearly $1,400 for the American Red Cross to support families and firefighters affected by the fires throughout Washington state.
Park View Villas’ community was joined by 14 others throughout Washington to show their support for the cause through their Village Concepts Cares program.
Village Concepts raised a grand total of $14,432 through spaghetti dinner fundraisers, bakes sales and raffles, with proceeds going to the American Red Cross.
