WEEKEND: Bike tuneups in PA, PT and Sequim to benefit trails coalition

NOTE: “Today” and “tonight” refer to Friday, March 20.

Bicycle shops in Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend will donate all tuneup labor charges to the Peninsula Trails Coalition today and Saturday.

All seven shops will donate the funds during the second annual Bike Tune-Up Fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The event will take place again April 10-11.

These shops — subject to some shop-specific details — will offer their usual tuneup services under this special fundraising arrangement.

In Port Angeles, phone the Bike Garage at 360-504-2040 or Sound Bikes and Kayaks at 360-457-1240.

In Sequim, phone All Around Bikes (formerly Mike’s Bikes) at 360-681-3868 or Ben’s Bikes at 360-683-2666

In Port Townsend, phone The Broken Spoke at 360-379-1295, PT Cyclery at 360-385-6470 or The Recyclery at 360-643-1755.

The coalition will use the funds to support volunteer trail maintenance activities, construction projects and trail expansion advocacy.

For questions on the overall event, phone Jeff Bohman at 360-457-7536.

See www.peninsulatrailscoalition.org for more about the organization.
