SHINE — A Port Ludlow man had been treated and released from a Seattle hospital as of Sunday after he was airlifted there following a wreck on state Highway 104 on Saturday.
Gary F. Zambor, 37, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after his car was hit by a pickup at about 3 p.m., the State Patrol said.
A hospital spokeswoman said Sunday morning he had been treated and released.
Jacob T. Richardson, 17, of Bainbridge Island was cited for traveling too fast, the State Patrol said.
Troopers said that Zambor, driving a silver 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo eastbound about 20 miles south of Port Townsend, was stopped to make a left turn at Milepost 12.8 when Richardson’s maroon 1994 Ford pickup, also traveling eastbound, struck him, they said.
Troopers said that Richardson was traveling behind a red Jeep that passed Zambor on the right shoulder and did not see Zambor’s car stopped.
Both cars were damaged and were towed from the scene.
