BELLEVUE — Police officers in this city east of Seattle are investigating Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch after receiving an “allegation of an assault and personal property damage” at a Bellevue apartment, according to a news release from the department.
The alleged incident was reported to have occurred early Sunday morning.
But “no domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation,” according to the Bellevue police news release issued this morning.
Police have assigned the case to a detective and it is under investigation.
“The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved,” the statement read in part.
“No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time.”
