PORT ANGELES — Lopaka Yasamura ran for three second half touchdowns to help Sequim pull away from rival Port Angeles and win 34-7 at Civic Field on Friday night.
Roughriders running back Nathan Angevine scored on a 20-yard run on a fourth-and-six play with five minutes to left in the third quarter, cutting the Wolves’ lead to 14-7.
Then Yasamura took over.
He scored on a 55-yard run two minutes later, and a Jack Wiker 2-point conversion extended the lead to 22-7.
In the fourth quarter, he scored on 9- and 16-yard runs to put Sequim ahead 34-7.
With their second win of the season, and second in two weeks, the Wolves move to 2-6 on the season and 2-4 in the Olympic League. They travel to face North Mason next Friday.
Port Angeles (0-4, 0-8) will try for its first win of the season at Kingston next week.
