Crews were dispatched Wednesday to an unoccupied RV and used multiple hose lines to contain the fire, according to a press release from the fire district.

Law enforcement officers on scene reported hearing multiple explosions and advised that ammunition and propane tanks were believed to be inside the structure.

Once additional units from the fire district arrived on the scene, the helped establish a water supply. Crews then knocked down the main body of the fire and extinguished a nearby cedar tree that had ignited, the fire district said.

Once the fire was controlled, operations transitioned to overhaul and a secondary search was completed.

No additional discoveries were made.

No injuries were reported.

Two engines and one tender responded from Fire District 2, and one engine and a chief officer responded from the Port Angeles Fire Department.
