The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear an annual report and request for more funds from the Jefferson County Economic Development Council Team Jefferson when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Team Jefferson CEO Peter Quinn will discuss the economic health of the county and what it needs to maintain growth and attract business owners to the region.
The agency is the designated associate development organization for Jefferson County.
It now receives $25,000 per year from the county. Quinn is requesting an increase of that amount to between $35,000 and $50,000 annually for the next five years.
Items on the consent agenda include:
â– A call for bids for the supply of motor fuel, to be accepted until 9:30 a.m. May 18 and opened and read publicly at 10 a.m. or shortly thereafter.
â– An agreement to purchase fleet, public works and facilities software in the amount of $173,500.
â– An agreement to request an additional $900 for a Juvenile Accountability Block Grant for Proctor House for a total of $7,778.
â– An agreement to allocate $200,000 to No Net Grant/Environmental Consulting Services.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will hear updates on the Mountain View bond ordinance and the public safety sales tax when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The council also will hear an update from the Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee.
The presentation provides status updates about projects and programs and includes information about the available grants and partnerships that support them.
The council will consider including the city in the county’s comprehensive solid waste management plan and a calendar for preparing the 2016 budget.
It plans an executive session.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
Other city meetings are:
■Council General Services and Special Projects Committee — 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, council chambers. The panel will discuss changes to animal control and leash laws.
■Arts Commission special meeting — 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., third-floor conference room, City Hall, 250 Madison St.
■Comprehensive Plan Transportation Stakeholders — 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, third-floor conference room, City Hall.
■Planning Commission — 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, council chambers.
Jefferson Transit
Jefferson Transit board members will consider updating the agency’s procurement policy and small-works roster process when they meet Tuesday.
The board will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Port Townsend Fire Station, 701 Harrison St.
It plans an executive session to discuss negotiations.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will consider a lease with the Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-op at their regular meeting Wednesday.
It will begin at 5:30 p.m. in chambers, 333 Benedict St., and be preceded by a workshop at 3 p.m. in the same location.
The Shipwrights Co-op has agreed to purchase Townsend Bay Marine, which leases land from the port. The co-op seeks to move into Townsend Bay Marine buildings.
Port staff recommend negotiating a new lease with the co-op.
The commission also will consider a limited tax general obligation refunding bond issue of $4.5 million to refund the remaining balance on a 2005 debt and save an estimated $250,000.
It will consider rules for renting Union Wharf and City Dock for such activities as weddings.
As the Industrial Development Corp. of the Port of Port Townsend, the commission will consider an application for eligibility for an industrial revenue bond.
At the workshop, the commission will review the results of its first retreat and discuss the agenda for another session.
Jefferson PUD
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at 250 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.
