■ Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce — Weekly luncheon meetings normally are held Mondays at noon at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.
But this Monday’s chamber luncheon — at Fort Worden Commons — will be part of an afternoon workshop on “Effective Leadership in the New Economy,” sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the Jefferson County Young Professionals Network and the Port Townsend Rotary Club. The agenda:
Noon to 1 p.m.: The Port Townsend High School group Students for Sustainability will discuss its recent trip to Washington, D.C.
1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Free workshop on leadership skills to work effectively with elected officials, how to lobby and participate in federal and state public policy development, and how to lead the community in collaborative public engagement.
Both sessions will be held at Fort Worden Commons, 200 Battery Way at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend. No Discover Pass is required to gain entry.
The meeting sponsor will be Full-Circle HR of Port Townsend.
■ Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce — Luncheon meetings are held at 11:45 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at noon at SunLand Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim.
This Tuesday’s program will be on the revitalization of the Guy Cole Convention Center at Carrie Blake Park.
Speakers will be former Mayor Ken Hays and volunteer project coordinator Pat Johansen.
The meeting sponsor will be Mary Cliffton, case manager for the Department of Health and Human Services.
Reservations for lunch, which costs $15, must be made by Monday morning, and seats are available for those who are not having lunch. Coffee or tea is $3.

■ Forks Chamber of Commerce — Luncheon meetings are Wednesdays at noon at JT’s Sweet Stuffs, 80 N. Forks Ave.
This Wednesday’s speaker will be Port of Port Angeles Commissioner John Calhoun.
Lunch costs $8; a bowl of soup, $4.75; and a cup of soup, $4. The entree is lasagna.
■ Port Angeles Business Association — Breakfast meetings are Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 DelGuzzi Drive, Port Angeles.
This Tuesday’s program will be a business meeting related to the PA United proposal.
There is a $3 minimum charge by Joshua’s for those who do not order breakfast.
