Metta Room to rock it out tonight
PORT ANGELES — Three Too Many, the Port Angeles band specializing in Foo Fighters, Talking Heads, Lenny Kravitz and other danceable rock, takes the stage at the Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., tonight.
Guitarist Mike Maxwell, drummer Barbara Maxwell, bassist Jeff Anderson, slide guitarist Jeff Clark and singer Sharon Thompson will start the music at 9 p.m.
Psychedelic Cellar
PORT TOWNSEND — This town will get a dose of Seattle-bred psychedelic rock tonight as two bands, Wind Burial and Golden Gardens, appear at the Cellar Door, 940 Water St., at 9 p.m.
Both groups are known as staples in the Northwest psychedelic, post-rock and “shoegaze” scene. Their specialties: ethereal melody, layered instrumentation and haunting vocals.

‘You’re Perfect’ opens next week
SEQUIM — “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” the classic musical comedy, opens next week at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., with a preview performance Thursday and a gala opening Friday, Jan. 30.
Just four cast members portray multiple characters — and “they fall in love more times in two hours than most people do in a lifetime,” said Pat Owens, director of the show.
And as if “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” weren’t long enough, there’s a tag line to go with the title: “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit.”
Leona Voss, Sheenieka Dolan, James Willis and Joel Yelland star in this romp at 7:30 p.m. each Friday and Saturday, plus
2 p.m. matinees Sundays, Jan. 30 through Feb. 15.
This coming Thursday’s preview also starts at
7:30 p.m. with general admission at $10, or free for Olympic Theatre
Arts members.
After the show opens Jan. 30, reserved seats are $22, or $20 for OTA members and active duty military members and their spouses.
And while parental discretion is advised, tickets are $16 for youngsters 16 and younger.
The one exception is a pay-what-you-can performance at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5.
For information about “I Love You,” phone the OTA box office, open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 360-683-7326, or visit www.olympictheatrearts.org.
