SEQUIM — Soroptimist International of Sequim is offering a monetary award to a young woman for volunteer service.
The application deadline is Nov. 30.
The award will go to a young woman between the ages of 14 and 18 who is involved in community service and who lives in the Sequim School District; this includes home-schooled and private school students.
The award is based on volunteer service, not academic achievement.
The recipient will receive a $250 cash award, plus $250 to the charity of her choice.
Award applications are available from Mitzi Sanders at Sequim High School, the Sequim Middle School office or online at sisequim.org/what-we-do/awards-and-scholarships.
