Lower ferry capacity

EDMONDS — Ferry users should plan for two weeks of reduced capacity on the Edmonds-Kingston route.

Through April 19, plan for 44 fewer vehicle spaces on approximately half of all sailings on the route.

The temporary downsizing is needed while the 188-car MV Walla Walla normally assigned to the route is out of service for scheduled maintenance.

During this time one Jumbo Class ferry, MV Spokane, and one Super Class ferry, MV Hyak, will serve the route. Vehicle customers are advised to plan ahead by preparing for longer than usual wait times at the terminal.

Thrift shop open

SEQUIM — The Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild’s thrift shop, 204 W. Bell St., will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Spring and summer fashions for the entire family will be featured along with fashion accessories, home decor items, dishware, kitchen utensils, puzzles, books and furniture.

All white-tagged items will be marked at half-price.

Consigners and new volunteers are needed.

For information, phone 360-683-7044.
