PORT ANGELES — “A Chorus Line,” one of the biggest hits in Broadway history, is to be the spring production at Peninsula College, so auditions are coming up.
Would-be performers should be ready to sing and dance a number of their choosing during the tryouts Friday and Saturday in the Little Theater at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Singing and acting auditions will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday; dance auditions will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and participants must attend both sessions.
For the dance auditions, hopefuls should wear dance or workout clothes and dance shoes if possible.
Cold readings will be available, too.
“A Chorus Line’s” story, told in songs such as “I Hope I Get It,” “The Music and the Mirror” and “What I Did for Love,” looks inside the hearts of Broadway dancers, revealing what shaped them and what drove them to become performers.
With her chosen cast and crew, Lara Starcevich of the Peninsula College Drama Department will stage the show June 4-7 in the Little Theater.
