Public school resume classes

One North Olympic Peninsula public school district has already resumed classes after summer break while others will open to students next week and the week after.

• Crescent School District in Joyce began school on Thursday, Aug. 25 for grades first through 12th. The first day of kindergarten will be on Tuesday.

• Brinnon School District will resume classes Monday.

• Quilcene School District will open on Tuesday.

• Quillayute Valley School District in Forks will begin school on Wednesday.

• Port Angeles School District will resume classes on Thursday for grades first through 12th. Kindergarten will open on Sept. 7.

• Cape Flattery School District will resume classes on Thursday.

• Port Townsend and Chimacum school district will open on Sept. 6

• Sequim School Districts has scheduled the first day of classes on Sept. 7.
