PORT ANGELES — The Washington State Department of Ecology on Tuesday will hold a public meeting at Field Arts & Events Hall, 201 W. Front St., to provide information, answer questions and accept comments about the Rayonier Mill Cleanup.
The event starts with an open house at 5 p.m., followed by a presentation at 6 p.m.
The public comment period for the Rayonier Study Area cleanup documents closes Aug. 12 at 11:59 p.m. The documents outline a plan for the section of the site with the highest levels of contamination created by decades of activity at the Rayonier Mill.
