PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles will conduct a workshop on the application process for 2025 lodging tax funds from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Aug. 22.
The free hybrid workshop will be in council chambers at city hall, 321 E. Fifth St. A link to the WebEx presentation is posted at https://www.cityofpa.us/calendar.aspx?EID=1837.
The workshop is oriented toward potential applicants for lodging tax fund grants and is applicable to new applicants as well as regular applicants for funds.
Some of the topics to be covered include:
• State legislation that regulates the use of lodging tax funds.
• An overview of the lodging tax budgeting process.
• A review of the city’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee “Vision, Goals and Priorities” document.
• A walkthrough of the application process.
• The funding award process.
• The contract and reimbursement process.
There also will be time for questions at the end of the workshop.
