Enter the PDN’s holiday lights photo contest

DO YOU LOOK forward to December each year so you can put up your Christmas lights?

Peninsula Daily News is holding an online photo contest to find the best holiday light display.

Submit a photo of your home decked out for the holidays.

We’re looking for homes illuminated with lights, yards lined with decorations, displays of Santa and his reindeer — whatever you’ve done to be festive this year.

The contest is free to enter and open to residents of Clallam and Jefferson counties.

To enter, go to http://pdn.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=44434 .

Click on the “Submission” tab and follow the instructions for registering and submitting your photo.

Please give the address of where the display is located so people can also see it in person.

All entries must be submitted on the web — sorry, no entries by mail, or in person. You must submit the entry yourself (no emailing photos and asking us to post them.)

You can enter today through noon Thursday, Dec. 15.

To view entries as they are posted, click the “View Entries” tab on the contest site.

Winners will be chosen by the public in online voting from Dec. 15 through Sunday, Dec. 25.

Voting is also free. You must be registered on the contest site to vote.

You can vote up to five times per day during the voting period.

In addition to the bragging rights that come with getting voted “best,” there are also prizes to be won!

The six entries that receive the most online votes will win prizes courtesy of the contest’s sponsors — Port Book and News, Lower Elwha Klallam tribe, Elwha River Casino, Olympic Iyengar Yoga, Pacific Rim Hobby and Nails by Sara.
