PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles will apply sealant to the road surface on the Eighth Street bridges next week.
Both bridges will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday until 8 a.m. July 4 for the application and to allow time for the sealant to cure, according to a press release.
Detour routes will be marked and the sidewalks will remain open during the project.
The sealant application will prevent water intrusion and extend the service life of the bridge decks, the city said.
